The Denmark-America Foundation & Fulbright Commission

aim to foster cultural understanding through educational exchange in two ways: our prestigious grant program and our EducationUSA advising service.

The Denmark-America Foundation is a private, Danish foundation established in 1914. It is financially supported by the Danish business world and other foundations, and with Her Majesty Queen Margrethe II of Denmark as patroness. The Denmark-America Foundation only offers grants to Danish citizens or dual Danish-American citizens based in Denmark.

The Danish-American Fulbright Commission is based on a bi-national treaty from 1951. It is publically funded by the Danish and the American states, and the American Ambassador to Denmark is honorary chair of the Commission Board. The Fulbright Commission offers grants to both Americans to Denmark and Danes to the USA.

This homepage is divided in different parts with information relevant for Danes or Americans. As a Dane, you should therefore go to our Danish site.
